The design of these road/gravel bikes was partially influenced by current trends in mtn bike geometry. The cockpit length is the same, and the rider stays in a traditional road bike position, but the front wheel is moved farther ahead with the use of a short stem/extended reach frame. This produces a more comfortable, safe, and maneuverable bike on any surface. Slightly steeper seat tube angle (76deg), and a slightly slacker head tube angle (70deg) also contribute to this enhanced drop-bar experience.
