The design of this batch of bikes has been a long journey. the angles and length seemed excessive just a few years ago, but working through 3generations of frame design with skilled riders has proven the performance and stability benefits of steeper seat tube, longer reach geometry.

This is your do it all hardtail. The head angle is a moderately slack 64 deg (160mm travel) and the wheel base is long, but the bike’s principal purpose is climbing performance and comfort. With an effective seat tube angle of 78.5 degrees, and enough reach to create a roomy cockpit, a rider can go uphill in the saddle for miles, longer periods of time, without constantly having to lean forward. No more ache in the low back while climbing!

The design is very dropper post specific, the same way it is front suspension specific. It’s crucial to get the saddle out of the way while descending, allowing the rider to get low and athletic within the wheelbase. More time is spent in a neutral centered position, and less time hanging off the back of the bike while going downhill.
